MLB Play-offs and postseason
The final day of the regular season decided everything with many teams battling for the Wild Card spots left in the Play-offs.
The race for the American League Wild Card spots had all eyes on the AL East.
The Yankees, Red Sox, Toronto Blue Jays and Seattle Mariners all played to decide the final outcome.
The Mariners failed to make it but the Blue Jays won 12-4 over the Baltimore Orioles to put themselves in with a chance.
However, the Blue Jays were left crushed as the Red Sox secured a comeback to win over the Washington Nationals and the Yankees won it in the bottom of the ninth against the Tampa Bay Rays.
The American League and National League Wild Card games will now be held on October 5 and 6.
The Red Sox defeated the Yankees in the American League Wild Card game on Tuesday evening.
Meanwhile, in the National League, the Los Angeles Dodgers will play the St Louis Cardinals in the Wild Card games.

When is the MLB Division Series?
The post-season comes thick and fast with the Division Series being contested from October 7 and 8.
The Division series are decided by the best out of five games with many likely to end after just three games as some of the teams in the play-offs have incredible win streaks.
The Milwaukee Brewers and the Atlanta Braves are already set to play each other in the NL Division Series.
Meanwhile, the Chicago White Sox and the Houston Astros will play in the other American League Division Series.
The winners of the AL and NL Division Series will go through to play in the League Championship Series to determine the winner of each division.

When is the MLB Championship Series?
The LCS American League will be played from October 15, while the LCS National League will play from October 16.
The Championship Series are played best out of seven games with nail-biting conclusions to reach the coveted World Series.
The two teams that win the LCS will then compete in the 2021 World Series of baseball.
When is the 2021 World Series?
The final series pitches off on Tuesday, October 26.
